A decade has passed since my last big adventure & after 15 years chasing a career in the Middle East, Madam adventure is calling. So I will be taking a short break from corporate to - in the words of Patrick Farnsworth - go ride my damn bike!

The romantic dream is a transcontinental adventure across Europe, from the edge of Asia on the shores of the Bosphorus, winding my way up the Dalmatian coastline, switchback ascents across the Italian / Swiss Alps, coffee & croissants in France & onward to the UK.  In reality the route is a roughly drawn line in my head & few weeks of cycling, wild camping & adventuring is all I really crave. No agenda, no clock to race, no checkpoint cut-offs, just me, my bike & the open road.

I really wanted to avoid clichés but this one really is about the journey, the route doesn't matter and neither does the final destination.
